Carl Larsson

Swedish Realist Painter, 1853-1919 Swedish painter, illustrator and printmaker. He came from a poor family and studied (1866-76) at the Konstakademi in Stockholm, supporting himself throughout this period. From 1871 to 1878 he contributed illustrations to the comic journal Kaspar and the Ny illustrerad tidning. From 1875, for several decades, he was a prolific book illustrator, his most renowned work in this field being his drawings for Föltskärns beröttelser ('The Barber-surgeon's tales'; pubd 1883-4) by Zacharius Topelius, and the Rococo-inspired watercolours for the Samlade skaldeförsök ('Collected attempts at poetry'; pubd 1884) by the 18th-century Swedish author Anna Maria Lenngren.  Related Paintings of Carl Larsson :. | portratt av oscar levertin | de mina olja 1892 | Dressing Up | gratulation-gratulation pa karindagen | kvallen forre resan till England |

Pasquale Ottino
(Verona, 1578 - Verona, 1630) was an Italian painter. Born in Verona in 1578, Ottino learned his trade in the workshop of Felice Brusasorci together with Alessandro Turchi, known as Orbetto, with whom he completed the Fall of Manna in the church of San Giorgio in Braida, left unfinished on the masteres death in 1605. His early works attest to the decidedly Mannerist character of the initial phase of his career. The sources indicate fairly constant activity in his hometown, even though there are still some doubts as to the reconstruction of his artistic career, especially incongruities regarding a trip to Rome that may have taken place with his companions Turchi and Bassetti around 1615. He died of plague in Verona in 1630.
Emma Sandys
Emma Sandys (born Mary Ann Emma Sands) (1843 - 1877) was a 19th-century English painter. Sandys was born in Norwich, England in 1843. She was taught by her father, Anthony Sands, and worked in portraits in both oil and chalk, often in medieval or period dress. Her earliest dated painting is marked 1863 and she exhibited her works in both London and Norwich between 1867 and 1874. Sandys did most of her work around Norwich but may have spent time in the studio of her brother, Frederick Sandys, in London. She died Norwich in November 1877.
